I will tweet your favorite blog post!

Published September 17, 2016   Posted in Having some fun

I love spreading the wealth. One of the things I like the most about this wonderful community is how much time we put into our blogs. Honestly, this isn’t a Me vs. Them scenario. I want all of our blogs to be wildly successful.

The Twitter birdEspecially yours. Today, I would like to take the opportunity to make an offer: give me your all-time favorite blog post, and I’ll tweet it repeatedly throughout next week on Twitter. At least twice.

If you’re wondering, my Twitter account is at twitter.com/thinksaveretire.

These are posts from YOUR blog, not someone else’s. Whatever post you feel deserves more exposureΒ or the one that you’re most proud of, let me know in the comment section and I promise to tweet that sucker out to help drive traffic your way.

My only stipulation is: It must be related in some way to personal finance or blogging. That means I won’t be tweeting out a post about completely unrelated subjects.

So, which one is it? Let me know in the comments!

  1. Hi Steve,
Thanks so much for the offer! Here’s an early one about how we (may have) really screwed up buying a rental property! And how it might still cost us loads in the end… http://www.makesmarterdecisions.com/house-buy-narrow-decision-question-biases-blindspots-wreaked-havoc-life/

    Have a great weekend!

  2. Hey, that’s an awesome offer! How about:

It’s not only one of my most popular posts, but it’s a personal favorite as well!

    thanks!

  3. Thanks Steve! Our debt free post is still my favorite.

  4. What a cool community-building idea! Thanks!

I think my favorite personal finance post is a recent one – http://www.optimizeyourlife.co/you-need-to-be-investing/

    Enjoy the weekend, Steve!

  5. Awesome offer Steve. I think this one is worthy with wide appeal

Someday I should get a twitter account.

  6. What an awesome idea – thanks for doing this Steve!

I’ve got a few favorites, but if I had to pick one, I’d go with “Dominate Your Debt With Spreadsheet Fu”. There are lots of PF bloggers with spreadsheet skills but I think every person would be better at managing their finances with a working level of knowledge as well. This post was my first of hopefully many that helps people get there πŸ™‚

Took a lot of work to put this one together πŸ™‚

  7. Wow Steve! This is great! Thanks for doing this. My favorite post is when I updated my plan to retirement. http://www.fierymillennials.com/my-10-year-plan-2016-update It was a fun post to compare to the previous year and see how much my numvers had changed!

That’s such an awesome idea, and a great way for us all to learn more about each other! You’re building such a great community, between things like this and posts like your Friday Feast. πŸ˜€

My favorite post is one I’m still benefiting from every day – The Power of Financial Freedom – aka how I left my depressing job http://fetchingfinancialfreedom.com/2016/03/03/the-power-of-financial-freedom/

Awesome. Glad to share. My most popular post is actually an online retirement calculator. It takes a lot into account such as savings/investments/retirement plans/mortgage/college cost for multiple kids/Social security. I still enter it from time to time to validate my own early retirement. No cookies/no data saved.

it even has some examples in case you’re not sure what to enter.

Love to get feedback from this community.

    thx

  10. Thanks, Steve! I’ll share the love with retweets of your posts. I’ll go with 20 Steps to Effective DIY Investing. It’s a monster 3,700 word post chock full of actionable info and links out to additional reading.

  13. Steve, that would be extremely nice. Here’s my offering. It’s about how little bonds are able to diversify stock risk. Relevant for personal finance and retirement savings!

  16. Hey TSR,

Thanks for the generous offer, I’d be honored to receive a tweet from you for one of my posts. Here’s my latest favorite post that I spent a lot of time writing:
    http://moneymetagame.com/fi/early-retirement-cash-flow-with-the-roth-ira-conversion-ladder/

It’s all about how to use the Roth IRA Ladder to find your life in early retirement.

    Thanks!

  17. This is very thoughtful Steve. I don’t know if this one is my best, but I like it and hope your readers do as well.

  20. Happy Saturday, Steve. My recent favorite post is: http://northernexpenditure.com/dont-retirement-newsletter-poster-child/ – Because THE PEOPLE NEED TO KNOW! You’re the best! When in your post-retirement plans do you guys head up to Anchorage for a salmon dinner with us?

    • Steve says:

Awesome article, Maggie – scheduled! And we’d be absolutely honored to enjoy some salmon with you guys. We definitely plan on making it up to Alaska after we begin traveling. Not sure when, yet – but, it’s in the plans!

  21. TJ says:

Steve, You are the man! That is so generous of you.

My most popular post is by far the one where I essentially wrote that there is more to life than money, and that it’s okay to spend more on things or experiences that you value highly even if other people consider them to be superfluous or wasteful expenses…

But the one I’m most personally fond of, I think, is my post on lifestyle deflation and it’s one that I think others might appreciate, particularly if they have chosen to downsize their housing costs.

    http://tjpridonoff.com/lifestyle-deflation/

  22. Hi Steve! Very generous of you to do this. While I’m not the kind of person that likes to brag, I won’t turn down free promotion!

One of my more recent favorite blog posts is this one: http://www.mrtakoescapes.com/2016/08/12/tale-two-savers/

If you don’t mind, how about: http://quietlysaving.co.uk/2016/08/16/olympian-efforts/ which seemed to go down well.

I hope it sums up how the FI journey is very individual, it’s not a race although you are doing it at the same time as others and if you are able to stick to the plan, you’re a winner!

  24. Hi Steve

Thanks for the opportunity to share. My favorite blog post to date is my interview with a former NFL football player about his life and finances after the NFL.

    http://mustardseedmoney.com/index.php/2016/09/05/life-finances-nfl/

  25. Very Generous offer. Those of us much earlier in establishing our audiences really appreciate it.

Only a week in on posts so not much to choose from so far, but of the 3 posts the perception one rings the best to me.

What better way to get a feel for a blog than through one of the writer’s favourite posts! I’m excited to go back and check out some of the earlier recommendations and find some new blogs to follow.
