The Friday Feast ~ the 24th of March
The personal finance community is filled with so many talented writers and inspiring families in search of something better out of life than the traditional society-approved plan of buying lots of stuff and retiring in your 60s if you're lucky.

Here is a look at the best of this week's personal finance blogs.

In this episode of Friday Feast: Cantankerous Life, Enwealthen, Fireball Finances, Shift Upwards, Cait Flanders, The Financial Diet, Farmhouse Finance, Minimalist in the City, Investing Doc and Humble Buck.

Welcome to the end of another week. The Friday Feast is my opportunity to highlight some of the best personal finance content that I read during the week. Both old and new articles get mentioned here because I enjoy going through people's posting archives.

Now, on to the personal finance blogosphere!

First, Cantankerous Life argues that financial independence is only just the beginning. Amen, brother.

And Enwealthen tells us that coupons are for suckers.

My favorite post of the week

My favorite post this week comes from Fireball Finances who wrote of the stupid reasons why people fail to achieve their goals.

"There are also demons around every turn. They are inside our mind stopping us from doing great things, each of these demons wants us to be ordinary." Ordinary isn't fun, now is it?

Have a goal? Then focus. Ignore the nagging tendency to be like so many others and simply lose interest. Stop being so...normal.

"Walking away from your obstacles and denouncing them as stupid is the only way to get to your goal."

More from the personal finance community

Shift Upwards wrote an epic post about homeownership. Yes, mistakes were made.

Here's an oldie but goodie from Cait Flanders who wrote back in 2015 about choosing her own financial adventure.

Also, The Financial Diet looks at obvious post-graduation financial advice that no one listens to.

Lastly, Farmhouse Finance wrote about the illusion of scarcity.

Honorable mentions: Minimalist in the City talks about the right people, Investing Doc is finally in the black, and lastly, Humble Buck talks about getting the big things right.

    Photo of the week

You know, we're getting so damn close to hitting the road - so close that I can taste it. In honor of our looming departure, here's a shot of some wildflowers alongside a road I captured a couple of weeks ago in Scottsdale, AZ. More photography to come. Much, much more!
